ABOUT SUSAN: A certified black belt Nia instructor, Susan completed all of her trainings with The Nia Technique co-creators Debbie Rosas and Carlos AyaRosas and has been teaching Nia for 18 years. She discovered Nia in 1997 while she was the Director of Health Promotion and assistant professor in the School of Medicine at the University of Virginia. A respected health educator for over forty-five years, Susan teaches internationally is recognized for her empowering, loving, and inspirational approach to holistic wellness. Susan is the author of four health-related books, including Wellness Wisdom: 31 Ways to Nourish Your Mind, Body, & Spirit and Into the Mouths of Babes: A whole foods nutrition guide to feeding your infants and toddler, 3rd ed. She followed the nudging of her soul to move to Seattle in 2000 and now it seems her soul has guided her back to Charlottesville (learning even MORE about mind-body balance along the way)!
